Program Requirements

• Completion of at least one year of university-level studies.

• Minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale).

• English proficiency: An international applicant for whom English is a second language MUST provide documentation of proficiency in English before being admitted to GAIAS.

• For students applying to the "Evolution, Ecology & Conservation in Galapagos" and "Marine Ecology" programs: Completion of at least one course each in general biology and ecology.

• For students applying to the "People, Politics and the Environment in the Galapagos" program: An intermediate-level of Spanish is highly recommended for this program, but not required.
