Graduation in Medicine at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2000), Residency in Internal Medicine at the State University of Rio de Janeiro (2002), Residency in Intensive Care at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2004), Master in Critical Care at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2007), Doctorate in Clinical Research at Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (2014) – Rio de Janeiro.

Cássia is currently an attending physician at Brain’s Institute in Rio de Janeiro and is a researcher at Oswaldo Cruz Foundation. She has experience in Neurocritical Care and Sepsis-associated Brain Dysfunction, acting on the following topics: Subarachnoid Hemorrhage, Brain Inflammation and Cognitive Dysfunction after Sepsis.
