Implemented the World Wildlife Fund (WWF)-Galapagos Ecoregional Program according to the planning methodology developed by the WWF Ecoregional Conservation approach: lobbying at high policy level, scientific and technical advice to government and other national (Ecuadorian) and international NGOs, building alliances and partnerships with international and national NGOs and local stakeholders; administration of several conservation projects ranging from scientific research, environmental education, capacity building of local communities, policy development and regulations. |

- Studied the reproductive and foraging ecology of the Darwin's finches on Daphne Island, Galapagos, December 1987-June 1988.
- Studied the reproductive and foraging behavior of frigatebirds (Fregata minor and F. magnificens) in the Galapagos Islands, 1983-1985.
- Monitoring populations and breeding success of Galapagos seabirds (e.g., penguins, cormorants, boobies, frigatebirds, gulls and terns, storm petrels, and flamingos) and their marine environment, 1980-1994.
