FOUNDATION
ESQUEL November 2003 - February 2003
- Design
of a technical proposal for the creation of a Center of Communitarian
Tourism in the city of Quito. The project looked also to create a center
of interpretation of the Ecuadorian indigenous cultures and to establish a
travel agency specialized in communitarian tourism that promotes and
commercializes the tourist operations handled by communities.
ORGANIZATION
OF AMERICAN STATES Julio 2001 - March 2002 '
- Coordinator
of the project: "Data base of the communitarian tourist supply of
Ecuador", made for the Ministry of Tourism of Ecuador. This digital
project compiled 100 communitarian tourist operations with information
composed of maps, photos and data on tourist resources and services, in addition it collected the needs of each
operation and the received support. The data base was left ready to be
published in the Web page of the Ministry of Tourism and thus to spread
the tourist information of all the operations.
INTERNATIONAL LABOR ORGANIZATION Oct 2000 -
Feb 2001
- Coordinator
of the project: Sustainable tourism with indigenous communities of
Ecuador. This project analyzed the experience of seven communitarian
tourist operations with the aim to learn its successes and failures and
thus to be able to delineate a support policy on communitarian tourism in
Ecuador.

FILM
- Documentary
film in 16 mm, titleholder "Mouth of Wolf". This film was made,
in 1983, in the Province of Bolivar, the town of Simiatug and deals with
the interethnic relations between mestizos and natives. The film was
awarded in the festival of cinema of Oberhausen- Germany in l984 and
obtained honorary mention in the festival of Cuban cinema in Havana, 1985.
