In September 2002, USFQ began operating its GAIAS Community College in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. By offering seminars in ecoturism, languages, hospitality management, culinary arts, natural resource management and business administration, the community college aims to provide necessary skills for the sustainable development of the unique, delicate, and complex natural environment of the Galapagos. Currently, two-year Associate Degrees are offered in Business Administration, Natural Resources Management, and Tourism Management.
