Marine Mammals Special Program
The Galapagos Islands and the continental coast are one of the most exciting places to observe marine mammals on our planet. With the Marine Mammals Special Program, undergraduate and graduate students from all over the world will have the chance to study a wide variety of species of cetaceans and sea lions. Daily lectures combined with regular field trips to the sea lion colonies off San Cristobal will give the first in depth insight into marine mammal ecology and behavior.
On the research trip in the Galapagos Archipelago and during the Humpback Whale monitoring program off the coast of Esmeraldas, students will directly apply their knowledge and learn to conduct their own projects within ongoing research programs.
