PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Telecommunications in Entel-Chile; design of inverters, power supplies and industrial equipment at Avtel Corporation; design, construction and installation of transmitters, repeaters and antennas for AM, FM and TV broadcasting; microwave links and radio communications; and metal structures at Ecuatronix; industrial consulting. Co-founder and member of the board of directors of Universidad San Francisco de Quito (1986-1993). Autor of "Proposal of a Constitution of Humankind".

SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH

In solid state physics; MOS and bipolar microelectronics; electron magnetic resonance; experimental and theoretical particle physics; quantum gravity; cosmology; particle accelerator physics; particle detectors. Member of the D-zero experiment at the Fermi National Laboratory (1991-). Co-discoverer of the "top" quark.

HOBBY: Mountain climbing, painting and growing avocados.
