Minor description

The interdisciplinary sub-specialization in English-Spanish translation allows students to develop competencies and skills in both languages ​​to use translation as a knowledge tool. The student is trained in the theory and practice of translation, comparative analysis of language and culture, and in translation strategies. These areas are geared towards developing skills to produce structured, rich, accurate, and effective translations, both generally and in relation to the specific area of ​​study. The sub-specialization is open to all USFQ students. They must have completed the subject: ENG 1001E Writing and Rhetoric. To complete this minor, the student must pass 5 courses.
