Pedro Romero Alemán

Pedro Romero Alemán earned a Ph.D. in Economics from George Mason University (United States). He directs the Master's program in Economics and the Experimental and Computational Economics Lab at the University San Francisco de Quito (Ecuador), where he is also a full-time professor and researcher. His research areas focus on economic development, monetary economics, financial economics, experimental economics methods, and economic networks. He has published in international journals such as "Economic Inquiry," "Econ Journal Watch," "Plos One," "Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences," and "Nature Communications." He has experience in generating knowledge in academic, public, and business environments. He has collaborated with international research teams from North America, South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia. He has obtained research funding from multilateral organizations, universities, and foundations in the United States and Europe, as well as from the private sector and the Ecuadorian government.
