Professional Profile

Andrea Landázuri holds a Ph.D. and MS in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Environmental Engineering from the University of Arizona in the United States. She is a professor at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito in Ecuador and founded the Applied Circular Engineering and Simulation Group (GICAS). As a member of the Institute for Energy and Materials, Biósfera Institute, and the iBioMed Institute, her research interests encompass the use of green materials for environmental remediation, water and air treatment using green methods, and the characterization of plant species and their waste. Andrea is a member of the Academy of Sciences of Ecuador and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
