Luis Miguel Prócel earned a Ph.D. in Microelectronics from the Università della Calabria (Italy) and a Master's degree in Digital Image Processing from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Spain). He holds a Bachelor's degree in Physics and Electronic Engineering from the University San Francisco de Quito (USFQ, Ecuador). Currently, he is the Director of the Nanoelectronics Master's program and a full-time professor in the Department of Electronic Engineering at USFQ. His research interests include the reliability of electronic devices, integrated design of digital and analog circuits, solid-state physics, and image processing focused on embedded systems. He is a co-author of more than 40 SCOPUS publications and a book chapter. His areas of expertise are digital image processing, microelectronics, physics, and reliability of electronic devices and telecommunications electronics.
