Victoria Alomía

Victoria Alomia-Hinojosa, holder of a Ph.D. in Production Ecology and Resources Conservation from Wageningen University & Research (The Netherlands), completed her MSc. in Plant Sciences with a specialization in Natural Resources Management from the same university. Serving as the coordinator of the Agricultural Engineering program at Universidad San Francisco de Quito (Ecuador), she is also a Professor and Researcher. Her research focuses on sustainable methods in agricultural systems, particularly in small farms such as those in Nepal, and the analysis of yield gaps of maize in Ethiopia. She actively collaborates on national and international projects aimed at reducing the carbon footprint in the agricultural sector in Ecuador, working in conjunction with Universidad San Francisco, Universidad de Costa Rica, and the Ecuadorian government.
