WISE/Women in Science and Engineering

WISE (Women in Science and Engineering) is a USFQ initiative that seeks to promote the presence of women in scientific careers, their successful achievement, and their contribution to the scientific and technological development of the country. For this purpose, USFQ awards the WISE Scholarship.

The scholarship is aimed at young women with exceptional academic abilities, whose goal is to study a scientific, technological, or engineering career at USFQ. The WISE Scholarship covers 100% of the selected student's fees in the technical or scientific program of their choice (in the branches of Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, and Biology) for four and a half years of study.

The scholarship does not include the cost enrollment. The winning student will be carefully selected by a WISE USFQ committee, made up of scientists and academics who are part of the initiative. The WISE Scholarship selection contest conditions are established in this document.

The scholarship will be valid as long as the student meets and maintains both the established academic requirements and the expectation of involvement and commitment to the WISE USFQ initiative. The beneficiary student, therefore, will be an ambassador of the WISE message and will commit to actively participate in all the events and projects that WISE USFQ develops. The scientists and academics that make up the WISE USFQ will evaluate the performance of the scholarship recipient both academically as well as their involvement in the initiative, annually.

The value of the scholarship awarded is subject to change, according to the application of the Fees Regulations.
