representantes de alta gerencia, mandos técnicos de compañías mineras metálicas en exploración y/o producción, como a empresas cementeras y de producción de áridos para hormigón y asfaltos. Estudiantes de Geología, y de las siguientes ramas de ingeniería: Minas, Química, Civil, Ambiental y Mecánica.

Procesamiento de minerales, trituración y manejo de agregados, cierre de mina y manejo de explosivos.

Jornada final de trabajo de campo en la cantera de Cementos Selva Alegre en Imbabura.

Samuel Frimpong, Ph.D.

Professor and Robert H. Quenon Endowed Chair Department of Mining Engineering Missouri University of Science and Technology
His professional experience includes over 30 years research and teaching, over 20 years of University administration, and several years of industry practice. His research areas include surface mining systems, machine dynamics, machine and whole body vibrations, fatigue modeling, augmented visualization and mine safety, health and hazard engineering.
Editor in Chief of the Journal of Powder Metallurgy and Mining; Editor, Research and Reports on Metals, Editor, International Journal of Mining, Reclamation and Environment and Associate Editor, International Journal of Mining and Mineral Engineering.
 

braden lust

Braden T. Lusk, Ph.D.

Professor and Chair of the Department of Mining and Nuclear Engineering at Missouri S&T.
Currently serves on the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’ (ATF) National Center for Explosives Training and Research, Explosives Research and Development Division (ATF Research Council).
Worked at Los Alamo National Laboratory, and as Mining Engineer at Cargill, Marston & Marston, Dykon Blasting and Hutchison Salt Company. He was also the Director of the UK Explosives Research Team (UKERT).
His research includes optimizing blasting operations for fragmentation, productivity, product selection, and environmental effects. Research specialties include numerical modeling using physics based models for high energy events, blast resistant testing and evaluation, and monitoring/analysis of vibrations for mining and industrial blasting. His research findings have been reported in over 70 publications.

kwame awuah

Kwame Awame-Offei, Ph.D.

Associate Professor of mining engineering at Missouri University of Science & Technology.
He recently served as a mining engineering academic fellow for the US Securities & Exchange Commission.
His research interests include modeling and optimization of mining systems, and design and management of sustainable mining systems.
Member of the US Office of Natural Resources Revenue’s Royalty Policy Committee and serves on the Fair Return and Value Subcommittee. He is a nationally active member of the Society of Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration (SME), a member of the Society of Mining Professors, and a fellow of the West African Institute of Mining, Metallurgy & Petroleum (WAIMM). He is a past chair of the SME Sustainable Development Committee.

grzegorz galecki

Grzegorz Galecki, Ph.D.

Associate Professor Department of Mining and Nuclear Engineering Missouri University of Science and Technology.
Dr. Greg Galecki has worked in the field of design for manufacturability, system integration, and mineral processing with related research and teaching since 1974. He has over 30 years of experience in experimental waterjet use and designing special high-pressure equipment. Since 2010 he is serving as the Director of the Waterjet Laboratory at Missouri S&T.
Dr. Galecki has published over 90 articles including a book chapter. He has 27 inventions related to waterjet technology and mining applications, 3 patents, and is internationally recognized as an expert in waterjet technology, serving as a reviewer of scientific papers. During 2007 - 2011 he served on the Water Jet Technology Association’s (WJTA) Board of Directors. He is a member of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration, Society of Manufacturing Engineers, Water Jet Technology Association, and National Defense Industrial Association.
His Research areas include, High Pressure Waterjet, Computer Integrated Manufacturing, Nano-Particulate Coal Science, Mineral/Coal/Aggregate Processing.
