The Materials and Applications Research Congress, CIMA, is a biennial event organized by the Energy and Materials Institute of USFQ that promotes the dissemination and exchange of knowledge in the materials field, convening international and local researchers to showcase their latest works. Call for Papers
On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the 4th Congress of Research in Materials and Applications, CIMA 2024, organized by the Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ) and its Institute of Energy and Materials, we are delighted to invite you to attend and/or participate as speakers at our event and to publish your scientific article(s) in a dossier of the Latin-indexed scientific journal "ACI Avances en Ciencias e Ingenierías."
CIMA is a biennial event that, in its fourth edition, is organized with two full days of conferences, in November 2024, in the city of Quito, at the USFQ headquarters. Our audience includes researchers in the field of materials and manufacturing, professionals and representatives from companies, university students, and postgraduates from Ecuador and different parts of the world. The main objective of the event is to promote the dissemination and exchange of knowledge among attendees and to encourage collaborative research and development work.
The theme of the event and the dossier of the journal "ACI Avances en Ciencias e Ingenierías" this year includes the following topics: Nanomaterials, Natural Materials with Industrial Applications, Advanced Materials for Construction, Polymers, Advanced Applications of Materials Engineering, Wear and Corrosion Solutions, Materials for Energy, Additive Manufacturing Processes, and Miscellaneous.
Abstracts must be submitted on the congress registration tab in Spanish or English by May 31, 2024, which will undergo the review and approval process for presentation at the congress and/or publication in the first semester of 2025. The organizing committee will send an email indicating the steps to follow once the abstracts are reviewed.
