Description:

The Economics program is focused on efficient management of resources, at both company (microeconomic) and macroeconomic scales, through the analysis of aggregate variables.  Professionals that graduate from the Economics program at USFQ know the fundamentals and main applications of economic theory and use a variety of methodological tools to analyze and investigate current socioeconomic problems.  Graduates furthermore can apply their knowledge with social responsibility, thus aiding in the development of organizations and/or communities, taking into account the different areas of Economics as underpinned by theoretical insights and the use of mathematical, statistical, and computing tools.  The program additionally contributes to the transformation, growth, and sustainable and productive development of the country by promoting an integral conception of Economics that allows graduates to participate in the design and implementation of public policies, being capable of understanding, analyzing, and evaluating a constantly changing environment.
