ABET International Accreditation: Environmental Engineering

Program Educational Objectives

The Environmental Engineering Program established the Program Educational Objectives (PEOs) according USFQ Mission and Vision. Our graduates are able to achieve the following career and professional accomplishments:

  1. Graduates will be independent and critical thinkers supported by a solid scientific and technical knowledge which will allow them to be recognized as professionals, researchers and leaders.
  2. Graduates will become effective communicators.
  3. Graduates will be able to formulate, design and implement environmental engineering projects with technical and effective solutions to existing environmental problems and contemporary issues within economic, environmental, social, political, health and safety constraints.
  4. Graduates will demonstrate the ability to apply physics, chemistry, calculus, biology and engineering knowledge, and to do research based on the scientific method.
  5. Graduates will be able to work in interdisciplinary teams, build interpersonal relationships and promote cooperative alliances with multiple stakeholders.
  6. Graduates will work in accordance to ethical, moral, personal and social values.
  7. Graduates will value the importance of continuous learning, through the acquisition of new knowledge and skills to improve professional performance.
