USFQ has over a decade of experience designing and delivering customized programs of any length throughout the year. These specialized courses are typically one to eight weeks in duration and can accommodate a variety of academic topics. For example, possible themes include Spanish language and Ecuadorian culture, human ecology, environmental issues, and indigenous societies. The academic content can be offered by USFQ professors or in conjunction with professors from the home university. Additionally, USFQ can provide the credit with transcript if desired.
Program inclusions are flexible and may incorporate a large variety of Ecuador’s diverse ecosystems including the Amazon Jungle, the Galápagos Islands, the Coast, and the Ecuadorian Andes. Past programs have included Tiputini (USFQ’s research station in the Amazon), Otavalo, Mindo, Papallacta, Mitad del Mundo, and much more.
Our clients include prominent institutions in the United States, Canada, Europe, and Latin America. Current partners include the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Georgetown University, Goucher College, University of Toronto, and IES Abroad, to name a few.
