Líneas de Expresión (Lines of Expression) is an artistic dissemination magazine published by  USFQ with the purpose of providing articles, critiques, and reviews, written by students and specialists in literary, plastic artes, performing arts, music, film, and in general editorial production that allows for a better understanding of the current socio-cultural problems. The journal is peer-reviewed and published under an open access license.

About the Publication

General Information

The Lines of Expression magazine will be a space for literary and artistic criticism, where the reader will be able to find an original, academic and attractive perspective on national and international artistic and literary events. The collaborators of the magazine will be enlightened citizens in the proposed editorial topics and will have total freedom to expose their impressions in relation to books, cinema, plastic art, photography, and performing arts.

Objectives

Lines of Expression is a student initiative of the Universidad San Francisco de Quito that aims to be a channel for artistic and cultural expression through a magazine of pleasant reading, enjoyment and constructive learning. Lines of Expression will be nourished by manuscripts of students and experts in humanistic and cultural subjects with the aim of promoting an editorial custom centered on the exhibition and analysis of art, literature, cinema and philosophy in our country.

Intellectual Property

In search of a plural, inclusive, and easily accessible cultural dissemination for the community, USFQ promotes the free use of the information contained in its publications.

The entire contents of the Lines of Expression magazine, unless otherwise stated, is published by USFQ under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License with the aim of promoting freedom, the development of our countries, and facilitating access and dissemination of information.

Indexing Services

After the first year of publication, the magazine will be sent for indexing in the main bibliographic indexes on arts and humanities; including LATINDEX (Regional Online Information System for Scientific Journals, from Latin America, the Caribbean, Spain and Portugal).
