Professional Profile
John Dunn Insua completed his Master's in Urban and Community Planning at Auburn University (United States). He studied Architecture at the College of Architecture at the University San Francisco de Quito (USFQ, Ecuador). He is the Coordinator of the Institute of Architecture and Urban Form (AFORU) at USFQ. John teaches Urban Theory and participates in advanced-level Architectural Design workshops. For ten years, he served as the coordinator of the International Architecture Workshop in Galápagos. He has conducted research in community planning and urban morphology. John focuses on urban economics, particularly in port cities. He has provided advisory services to institutes affiliated with the Municipality of the Metropolitan District of Quito (Ecuador). John has worked on projects such as the Terrestrial Terminal and Samanes Park, both in Guayaquil (Ecuador). He is an architect, urban planner, and writer, also contributing as an opinion columnist for the newspaper "El Universo.
