AMAZONICAS 7 * International Conference on Amazonian Languages.
Amazonicas 7, the seventh international conference on the languages of the Amazon region, will hold its 7th edition in Baños, Ecuador, from May 28 to June 1, 2018, followed by the AMAZONICAS 7 Linguistics Summer School, offering a range of introductory and advanced courses on the languages of the region from June 4 to 8 at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito.
AMAZONICAS 7 * International Conference on Amazonian Languages.
The conferences consists of four symposia on specific topics in the area of syntax, phonology, language families, and language and society. This edition's topics are:
- Tense and aspect (morphosyntax symposium, organized by Anne Schwarz, Martine Bruil, Andrés Pablo Salanova)
- Verbal art (language and society symposium, organized by Lev Michael, Simeon Floyd)
- Languages of the central Andean foothills (language families and areas symposium; organized by Pilar Valenzuela, Simon Overall, Martin Kohlberger)
- Accent, tone, and intonation (phonology symposium, organized by Thiago Chacon, Gessiane Picanço, Katherine Bolaños)
