Journalism

College of Communication and Contemporary Arts
Minor description

The journalism subspecialization is aimed at all USFQ students, with the exception of journalism students. It is approved with a total of six subjects, two compulsory and four optional. The compulsory classes are: Basic Multimedia Writing and Multimedia Practices I, which ensure that the student has a minimum level in journalistic writing and that he/she has practiced and published in national media such as La Hora, Radio Pichincha Universal, among others. The remaining four classes respond to the personal and professional expectations of each student. In this sense, the four additional classes are defined according to the student's objective so that subspecialization can become a useful tool for the future thanks to the achievement of skills, attitudes, and knowledge consistent with the student's initial objective.
