Kiara Guerra has a bachelor's degree in International Relations, with a minor in Political Science, from Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ, Ecuador). She also holds a Master's Degree in Public Policy from the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences in Ecuador (by its acronym in Spanish). Kiara is in charge of the overall administrative and operational management of the Office of International Programs and the Confucius Institute at USFQ. Her research interests include transparency, democratic controls, environmental policies, and higher education. In 2012, she won a scholarship from the USFQ Confucius Institute to continue her studies in Mandarin Chinese at the Capital University of Economics and Business (CUEB) in Beijing.
