Este programa busca educar a profesionales ante una creciente demanda y preocupación de la industria en temas de gestión de energías renovables y eficiencia energética que sean capaces de gestionar proyectos energéticos. Se educará a profesionales que requieran adquirir experiencia en cómo implementar y gestionar proyectos energéticos a través de metodologías de diagnóstico sustentadas en la norma ISO 50001:2018, energías renovables y eficiencia energética.

Con este curso el participante aprenderá a cuantificar los ahorros, así como detectar y evaluar oportunidades de nuevos modelos de negocios de una manera integral a través de metodologías de diagnóstico sustentadas en la norma ISO 50001:2018.

General Description

General Objective:

To train professionals from various Ecuadorian industries, capable of implementing and managing energy efficiency projects with reference to ISO 50001:2018 Standard. The tools learned will allow for continuous and systematic improvements in energy performance as well as making organizations more profitable.


Specific Objectives:

  • Introduce topics on energy management systems NTE INEN-ISO 50001:2018 and Methodology for Energy Resources Diagnosis
  • Review fundamentals of Engineering.
  • Apply energy management in the analysis of Equipment and Systems.
  • Understand renewable energy resources.
  • Initiate the training of Auditors NTE INEN-ISO 50001:2018.
  • Apply Energy Projects and identify environmental, economic, and energy benefits.
  • Understand techniques for selling projects to managers.

Target Audience:

The program is aimed at professionals and executives responsible for production, operations, maintenance, quality, environment, logistics, among others with decision-making responsibilities for energy consumption.

Professionals in Mechanical, Industrial, Civil Works, Electrical, Electronics, Electromechanical, Mechatronics, Chemical, Industrial, Environmental, Food, Civil, Systems, or any engineering background, in any of its disciplines.

*It is desirable but not mandatory for the candidate to have a background in engineering in any of its disciplines, such as mechanical, industrial, civil works, energy, environment, systems, food, among others.

Professionals who complete the program will be able to:

  • Diagnose problems and excessive energy consumption in different industrial processes.
  • Acquire updated knowledge related to new practices and improvements in the industry, as well as update basic knowledge of thermodynamics, electrical principles, and drive systems.
  • Identify improvement opportunities in energy management and how to implement audit systems, through the analysis of energy indicators.

MODULE 3 | Internal Auditor Training - Asset Management System

Duration: 20 hours

  • Audits. Introduction. Terms and definitions
  • Audit principles
  • Managing an audit program. Objectives, risks, and opportunities.
  • Establishment of an Audit Plan and a checklist for an audit in an Asset Management System
  • Conducting audit activities (opening meeting, gathering objective evidence, closing meeting, Writing audit findings and audit report).
  • Determining the competence of auditors for an Asset Management System
