Universidad San Francisco de Quito, in collaboration with Leviathan Space Industries, is pleased to present an exciting series of talks and panels dedicated to the future of Ecuador in Space. We will have the distinguished presence of Rod Pyle, renowned space historian and author of 18 books addressing the history, exploration and development of space.

In addition, we are honored to have the participation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Joint Command of the Armed Forces, the National Planning Secretariat, the Air Force, the Ecuadorian Navy, AMCHAM, the University of the Hemispheres, UTPL, ESPOL and the Military Geographic Institute.

Keynote Speakers

Rod Pyle

Rod has worked with NASA at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and Johnson Space Center. He was visual effects coordinator on the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine series for three seasons and spent over ten years at the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles. He is a graduate of Stanford University and the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. Truly an honor to have him in the country. I believe that any area of University knowledge can benefit from his presentation.

Robert Aillon

He is founder and CEO of Leviathan Space Industries, which is leading the initiative to develop Ecuador's first private spaceport. He is an active member of important associations related to the future of space such as the Global Spaceport Alliance and the Committee of Emerging Countries and Developing Communities (ACDCEC).
