Daniel Toledo, a graduate of Berklee College of Music, holds the position of Coordinator of the Musical Performance Department at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito (Ecuador), where he serves as a full-time professor. Renowned as a double bassist and jazz composer, he has conducted workshops and tours across America, Europe, and Asia. Notably, he clinched the top spot in the 2010 edition of the Jazz Envoys and showcased his talents at the prestigious Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. (United States). Daniel led his trio, featuring Piotr Orzechowski and Joshua Wheatley, and they recorded their debut album, "Elapse," in 2014. His 2017 release, "Atrium," with Piotr Orzechowski and Paul Svanberg, garnered acclaim and recognition in publications like "All About Jazz." In 2018, he formed a quartet with Polish musicians, unveiling "Fletch" in 2020 under the Audio Cave label. This album received favorable reviews nationally and internationally, solidifying Daniel's presence in the Polish jazz scene for over a decade. His collaborative efforts include partnerships with esteemed artists such as Piotr Orzechowski, Ted Lo, John Blackwell, Perico Sambeat, Yoron Israel, and Víctor Mendoza.
