David Alexis Egas Proaño

David Egas holds a Ph.D. and a M.A. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Arizona (United States). He earned a BS in Chemical Engineering from Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ, Ecuador). Currently, he serves as a professor and researcher in the Department of Chemical Engineering at USFQ. David's expertise lies in the field of small molecule chromatography, specifically for the analysis of contaminants and active principles in environmental, pharmacological, and biological samples. Actively involved in collaborations related to the spectroscopic and electrochemical determination of heavy metals, as well as methods for their remediation and filtration, David's professional journey includes significant contributions and research publications in various fields, such as pharmaceuticals, drug kinetics, conservation and the environment, alternative fuels, and veterinary science.
