Edgar Carrera, holding a Ph.D. and a Master's degree in High-Energy Physics from Florida State University (United States), is a professor and the leader of the LEOPARD laboratory at the University of San Francisco de Quito (Ecuador). With extensive participation in international collaborations, including the D0 detector at the Tevatron accelerator at Fermilab (United States) and the CMS Collaboration at the LHC accelerator at CERN (Geneva, Switzerland), Dr. Carrera has published over 800 articles.
