Professional Profile

My specialty is nanotechnology and nanoelectronics. The study tool I use are atomic force microscopes (AFM).
During my PhD I built a low temperature AFM to study quantum dots, nanofabricated with the hydrogen resistance lithography technique. I have also worked on the development of solid state nanopores for the study of DNA. I have been a professor for the last 15 years of physics, electronic engineering and mathematics at USFQ.

Interests

Academic Interests: Atomic force microscopy, Development of instrumentation and methods to characterize atomically defined semiconductor devices, Quantum computing, Development of charge qubits from quantum dots, Charge transfer in molecules, Solid state nanopores, Characterization tools for molecules and polymers.

Personal Interests: I have a wide variety of personal interests. Among them are, programming and simulation development, cooking, education, chess, cycling, music.
