Vanessa Romero

Vanessa Romero graduated in Medicine from the Universidad San Francisco de Quito (Ecuador) and later obtained her PhD in Human Genetics at The Graduate University for Advanced Studies (SOKENDAI)-National Institute of Genetics (Japan). During her PhD, she conducted research in Population and Evolutionary Genetics, using next generation sequences, both in the laboratory and in bioinformatic analysis. She works as a professor of Clinical genetics and researcher of Genetics at the College of Health Sciences of the Universidad San Francisco de Quito.
