Travel and Venue

The conference will take place at USFQ campus, in Quito, Ecuador.

Passport

Us and European citizens are required to have a valid passport to enter Ecuador.  Your passport should have at least 6 months validity from the date of entrance to the country. Immigration authorities are very strict with this requirement.


The map below will show the different rooms and auditoriums that will hold the different ISSOL 2020 conferences.

Transportation

All international flights go through Quito and Guayaquil. Several airlines fly to these two airports from different locations in Europe and North-America, including:

Accomodations

USFQ campus is in Cumbaya, a location close to the city of Quito. The conference will provide bus transportation between Quito hotels and Cumbaya during the conference days. The hotels listed below are the ones recommended by the conference and will meet different price requirements:

  • Sheraton, luxury hotel
  • Hilton Colon, luxury hotel
  • Finlandia, standard hotel
  • Ibis, standard hotel

Dining options

The USFQ food courts will be available for lunch. A buffet lunch is included in your conference registration for each day except Wednesday. Attendees wishing to attend the Gala Dinner on Thursday must purchase a ticket during the registration process. It is not possible to revise a registration and add a gala ticket at a later date

Wednesday TOUR

On Wednesday afternoon you will have an afternoon city center tour. Buses will depart from USFQ campus at 2 pm after lunch and will drive you back to hotels Specific information on places that will be visited will be provided later.
