Jonathan R. Guillemot holds a Ph.D. in Global Health, Social Medicine, and Gerontology from King’s College London (United Kingdom). He began his academic career with an undergraduate and graduate degree in Political Sociology from the University of Lille (France). He worked as a health economics analyst in London (United Kingdom). He served as Vice Dean of the School of Medicine at the University of San Francisco de Quito until 2025. He is Director of the Institute of Social Medicine & Global Challenges - One Health and a full-time tenured professor. He teaches Introduction to Late Adulthood and Clinical Ethics, among other subjects. He conducts research and community engagement projects in the areas of Gerontology and Research Pedagogy.
