Doctor in Hispano-American Literature from the Autonomous University of Madrid. She was a MEC-Fulbright postdoctoral fellow at the Center de Recherches Latino-Américaines de Poitiers (2008-2009) and at the University of Santiago de Chile (2008-2009). Later, she was a postdoctoral fellow at the Four Universities Alliance at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (2009-2011). She is currently a professor of Hispanic American Literature at La Sapienza University in Rome.
