Professional Profile

Carlos Uribe-Terán holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Queen Mary University of London (United Kingdom). He has a Master's degree in Economics and Finance from Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Spain) and a Master's degree in Development Economics from the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (Flacso, Ecuador). He is an Economist from the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador. Currently, he is a professor at the College of Administration and Economics at the University San Francisco de Quito (Ecuador). His research focuses on understanding the dynamics of the labor market, pension systems, tax systems, and economic cycles in emerging countries. He has published in the "Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control" and the "Journal of Economics and Finance." He has participated in international economics conferences and has served as a consultant for multilateral organizations such as the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF), and FAO International.
