María Gabriela Arroyo Guarderas

María Gabriela Arroyo, a Doctor in Veterinary Medicine from Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ, Ecuador), completed her internships in large equine hospitals in the United States: Brazos Valley Equine Hospital and Hagyard Equine Medical Institute. Her specialty training in Large Animal Internal Medicine at Purdue University, where she also earned a master's degree in sciences, was followed by her role as Medical Director at Signature Equine Hospital in the US. Currently serving as the academic coordinator and teacher at the school of veterinary medicine at Universidad San Francisco de Quito, Gabriela is the foundress and Medical Director of the first equine teaching hospital in Ecuador. A member of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine and American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) through the Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates (ECVFG), Gabriela's interests lie in veterinary medicine education and teaching, internal medicine in sports medicine, and respiratory conditions.
