Brenda Vega

Brenda Vega holds a Master's degree in Photography from the University of the Arts London (United Kingdom), where she won the Troika Photography Award for her multimedia installation "Interface Nature." She works as a teacher of Art and Photography at the University San Francisco de Quito (Ecuador). She was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to pursue her Doctorate in Visual and Performing Arts at the University of Texas (United States), where she continues her transdisciplinary exploration, involving performance studies, new media technologies, and critical studies. She is a visual artist, educator, and researcher with a practice focused on the intersection of technology and art, self-representation, photography as an expanded practice, and performance. She has participated in artistic residencies at No Lugar (Ecuador) with the Nodo Scholarship, Lumen London (Italy), and SIM (Iceland).
