Marcelino García Sedano

Marcelino García Sedano holds a Ph.D. in Art History from the University of Oviedo (Spain) and serves as a full-time professor at the University of San Francisco de Quito (Ecuador). Within the university, he teaches courses in Contemporary Arts, Art History, and the specialization in Photography. His academic interests revolve around the impact of technology on art and society, focusing on aspects such as post-photography, digital audiovisual performance, video games as a creative tool, artificial intelligence, and the influence of science fiction as a speculative tool. Additionally, he actively contributes to curating exhibitions, directing festivals, and organizing events related to techno-scientific art. His involvement extends to initiatives such as "Visiónica" in Spain and "Hausmann" in Ecuador, and he has collaborated in the field of live audiovisual performances.
