Entrepeneurship World Cup (EWC)
The Entrepreneurship World Cup (EWC) is one of the main global entrepreneurship competitions and, for the fifth consecutive year, it will also come to Ecuador.
Each edition, the contest brings together around 370,000 entrepreneurs from more than 200 countries. The objective of this tournament is to identify high-potential startups, to help them in the process of scaling their business.
Since 2019, Ecuador has been part of the EWC thanks to the leadership of KrugerLabs, KrugerCorp's innovation accelerator, and the support of the Global Entrepeneurship Network (GEN) Ecuador.
Ecuador is one of the countries with the highest entrepreneurship rates, according to the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor: 1 in 3 adults are in the process of or have started a business.
The Entrepreneurship World Cup (EWC) Ecuador promotes the involvement of different organizations and strategic actors, generating an ecosystem of entrepreneurship and innovation, which contributes to the business development of the country.
Since 2019, KrugerLabs has awarded more than USD 500,000 in cash and in-kind prizes to the winners of the different editions.
More than 350 startups from different sectors, with a high potential for innovation and a business model based on sustainability, have taken part.
The call will be open until October 29, 2023, through the link: https://www.krugerlabs.com/ewc/.
