Eric Samson

Eric Samson holds a Master's degree in Digital Journalism from the Autonomous University of Madrid (Spain). He is a journalism professor at the University San Francisco de Quito (Ecuador). He is the creator of the International Congress Journalism in Debate and the Border Journalism Contest. He is the co-editor of the indexed journal “#PerDebate.” As a professional journalist since 1981, he is a correspondent for Ecuador and Peru for international media such as Radio France Internationale, Radio France, RTBF in Belgium, RTS in Switzerland, and Radio Canada. He is a correspondent for the press freedom NGO Reporters Without Borders for Ecuador. He serves as a media trainer and war correspondent, specializing in reporting in dangerous areas, mobile and multi-platform journalism, and border journalism. He has covered numerous conflicts, civil wars, natural disasters, and other news events.
