Florencio Delgado Espinoza holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Pittsburgh (USA) and a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts-Anthropology from the University of Texas (USA). He is the Director of the Sociocultural Research Center at Universidad San Francisco de Quito (Ecuador) and a professor in the College of Social Sciences and Humanities, teaching courses in Ecuadorian Anthropology, Coastal Anthropology, Ecuadorian Archaeology, Andean Archaeology, and Andean Anthropology. His research interests encompass Coastal Anthropology, Ecuador's past, cultural heritage, quantitative methods, and statistical analysis. He is a co-author of a published book on the historical ecology of the Galápagos Islands and has published scientific articles on Ecuadorian archaeology.
