The certificate aims to deepen the understanding of data science and its critical application in strategic decision-making. This program focuses on understanding the principles of data economics, information governance, as well as the legal, ethical, technological, and analytical dimensions of big data, equipping participants to lead data-driven transformation in their organizations.
Virtual
Live videoconferences will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 18:00 to 20:00 and two Saturdays per month from 08:30 to 12:30.

This section addresses how an organization can strategically manage, regulate, and maximize the value of its data. It explores the alignment of data strategy with the company's business objectives, including the implementation of KPIs, the design of a robust data architecture, the promotion of an effective data culture, and the definition of specific roles for efficient data management.
Data Culture and Governance
This section focuses on developing an agile data culture and promoting data literacy at all levels of the company. It analyzes how to establish scalable data governance through the centralization and standardization of policies, tools, and processes to ensure effective and consistent data management throughout the organization.
Data Ecosystem and Artificial Intelligence
Data Ecosystem
This section deals with the design and implementation of a flexible and adaptable data architecture, utilizing advanced technologies such as cloud computing and data analytics. It examines fundamental principles like system integration and component flexibility, as well as data portability, with the aim of establishing ecosystems that promote data democratization and its agile and efficient use within the company.
Artificial Intelligence and Data
This section focuses on the applied study of generative artificial intelligence tools, exploring their use in data analysis and prompt generation to drive projects and initiatives. It analyzes the development of personalized digital assistants and addresses artificial intelligence from an ethical and responsible perspective, considering data protection, intellectual property, and ethics in the use of advanced natural language processing models.

Aligned with USFQ's Liberal Arts philosophy, where all areas of knowledge have equal relevance and contribute to the development of understanding, this program includes virtual talks on various current topics of interest. These are open to the general public or are part of other programs. It is a space that enhances the academic content of the program, and attendance is optional.
Business Forum
The business forum is a virtual meeting space between students and panelists; entrepreneurs, business leaders, professors, and experts who will share their perspectives, trends, and best practices. The forums are managed according to the annual schedule, involving students from non-degree programs and master's degrees at the School of Business.
Activities
This program includes various activities, such as presentations, practical exercises for real-world application of presented concepts, workshops, discussions, and more. The program applies an active, participatory, and critical methodology that links theory with practice. Students must access the virtual platform Desire to Learn (D2L) to use study resources and complete virtual activities. Access to the D2L platform is available from the start of the program until one month after its completion.
