Juan Villacreses

Juan Pablo Villacreses holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University San Francisco de Quito (USFQ, Ecuador) and a Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering with an emphasis on Soil Dynamics from the University of the Andes (Colombia). He is a professor of Civil Engineering at USFQ. As a geotechnical engineer with a solid academic background and a constant dedication to research, his focus on soil mechanics, especially soil dynamics, has led him to explore in-depth geomaterials and their dynamic characterization. His goal is to generate knowledge in this area, collaborate on interdisciplinary projects, and apply his skills to address real-world geotechnical challenges. With a focus on research related to soil dynamics, he aspires to contribute to the advancement of geotechnics and its application in Civil Engineering.
