Professional Profile
Francisco E. Carvajal Larenas, with a Ph.D. in Life Sciences from Wageningen University, is a Food Engineer with an MSc and MBA. With a distinguished career spanning 12 years in multinational companies and 20 years in academia, he is a full professor at Universidad San Francisco de Quito and an independent consultant. Dr. Carvajal Larenas has led or participated in over 40 projects resulting in the development of numerous undergraduate and graduate theses, papers, talks, new products, processes, and machinery. He has been a reviewer of Q1 journals, an invited lecturer in several MBA programs, and has received distinguished lecturer awards in 2010 and 2016 at USFQ.
