Paolo Moncagatta holds a Ph.D. in Political and Social Sciences from Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Spain), where he also earned a Master's degree in Political Sciences. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts from the University San Francisco de Quito (USFQ, Ecuador). He serves as the Dean of the College of Social Sciences and Humanities at USFQ and holds the position of Associate Professor of Political Science. His primary research areas include political culture, electoral behavior, Latin American politics, data visualization, ideology (and ideological polarization), and quantitative methods in social research. He has been a frequent collaborator with the Latin American Public Opinion Project (LAPOP) as a country expert for Ecuador. He has worked as a consultant for organizations such as USAID, NORC at the University of Chicago (United States), Vanderbilt University (United States), the International Republican Institute (United States), and Participación Ciudadana (Ecuador), among others. His publications have appeared in numerous academic journals.
