Professional Profile
René Játiva Espinoza holds a Ph.D. in Signal Theory and Communications from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Spain). As an integral part of the Universidad San Francisco de Quito (Ecuador), he serves as the Alumni Coordinator of the Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering. Moreover, he is a dedicated full-time research professor with a teaching experience spanning over two decades. During his tenure, he has taken charge of courses on Communications Theory, Communications Systems, Random Processes, and Statistics. His expertise extends to the statistical processing of communication signals, honed during his doctoral training, with a specialized focus on the application of mobile subscriber positioning in wireless networks. Currently, he is immersed in pioneering research in communication signal processing for 5G wireless networks, alongside exploring applications of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.
