Victor Herrera

Víctor Herrera holds a Ph.D. in Control, Automation, and Robotics Engineering from the University of the Basque Country (Spain). After completing a Postdoctoral program in Energy and Power Electronics at the IKERLAN Research Center (Spain), he assumed the role of a full-time research professor at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito (Ecuador) and became the Coordinator for industry cooperation in the College of Sciences and Engineering. During his Postdoc, he collaborated as a researcher on European projects related to electric mobility, renewable energies, and energy markets. Víctor has led various research and development projects focusing on electric mobility (buses, trains, and trams) and energy storage with Spanish companies such as CAF, VECTIA, and IBERDROLA. His expertise extends to hybrid power generation systems, energy storage system sizing and operation, energy management, industrial control, and automation.
