Master in Data and Business Management

Decision making is usually based upon inadequate and subjective practices (e.g., sixth sense, intuition), mainly due to the complexity of such process, and thus this master program is focused on providing students with a set of advanced tools to aid this process in an effective and objective manner.

Our students will be able to apply a large set of non-traditional analytical and numerical approaches to tackle real-world problems, which is an essential skill in a world where the amount of data and problem complexity increases constantly.

Students should be able to address complex real-world problems not only by designing solution methods, but also by implementing them in a practical way through the use of a programming language.

Liberal Arts philosophy is the cornerstone of the USFQ, and thus throughout the program, a wide range of topics will be covered in order to understand our world from different perspectives.

Graduates from this program will be able to secure positions such as digital transformation officer, business analytics officer, chief data scientist, chief executive officer, among others, in any private or public company or organization.

Basic requirements

• The candidate must have an undergraduate degree in any major, which should be recognized by SENESCYT. If such degree was granted abroad, it must be endorsed with an apostille or legalized by the competent authorities of the country in whose territory has been issued. The university will proceed to verify the authenticity of those documents and their compliance to the current norms.
• ID or passport
• Undergraduate Degree.
• Official transcript.
• Certificate of degree registration granted by SENESCYT.
