Descarbonización Sostenible e Inclusiva de las Islas Galápagos
The 2023 Summit will be a three-day event and will bring together academics and researchers from universities and recognized world class research Institutes and National Labs.
The main objective of the event is to produce a new environment of extensive research collaboration around the Galapagos to find niches of engineering, science, and technology development to advance towards the decarbonization of the Islands, in harmony with the flora and fauna. To achieve this, it is necessary to understand the current conditions/challenges of the Galapagos Islands in relation to a sustainable and inclusive energy transition, explore ongoing research and local initiatives aimed to tackle these challenges and conditions, and develop and publish a collaborative roadmap towards a sustainable and inclusive energy transition of the Galapagos Islands.
Topics:
- Energy resources and infrastructure
- Energy security and resilience
- Investment analysis and facilitation
- Energy efficiency
- Energy for transportation (maritime, EVs)
