International students who wish to experience life in Quito and study at USFQ’s main campus should apply to the Cumbayá program and take courses at USFQ alongside local students.
Located on San Cristobal Island, the USFQ Galapagos campus offers international students the opportunity to study in one of the most pristine natural laboratories in the world.
There are several options for short term programs hosted by USFQ academics colleges that you can get involved in. Options range from class participation and research to internships or volunteer opportunities.

The Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ) has over a decade of experience designing and executing customized programs (faculty-led programs) of any duration or academic focus.
International students could be degree seeking students at USFQ. They can enroll in their major of interest or can opt for a one-year pathway program to discover their area of interest before committing to a major.
The Pathway Program is designed for national and international students who have not decided what to study and wish to experience life in Quito by studying at USFQ. Students will have access to classes in the arts, communication, humanities, sciences and social sciences alongside local students.

USFQ is open to host any professor, administrator or delegation who wishes to visit the Campus. We will take care of organizing your visit and scheduling meetings and a campus tour. Would you like to study abroad at Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ)? We offer different programs in our main campus Quito/Cumbaya or in the Galapagos Islands. We welcome international students from around the world who want to have an outstanding academic and cultural experience.
Undergrad students from all over the world have the unique opportunity to conduct a research project in conjunction with a USFQ faculty member in various fields of study. This program is called The Latitude Zero: Ecuador Research Initiative (LOERI).
